New Zealander Dean Barker has officially been appointed skipper and CEO of the Japanese team looking to compete in «the America's Cup».
The yachtsman hopes exclusively to win.
He will be competing against fellow Team New Zealanders who have unexpectedly dropped him this year.
The Japanese team, sponsored by SoftBank, announced its intention to challenge for the Cup about a month ago.
The 35th America's Cup «» will be played in 2017. Five teams are planning to participate: Oracle Team USA, Team New Zealand, Ben Ainslie Racing, Team France, Artemis .
