In mid-June, yachting and sailing enthusiasts, athletes and shipowners gathered at «Red October» to celebrate the rebirth of the Moscow Imperial River Yacht Club. The yacht club, built back in the XIX century and later transformed into a rowing base, has been restored, fully equipped and ready to receive yachtsmen.

The complex of facilities is conceived as a new center for the development of sailing.

It will allow the owners of the vessels to come to the center of the capital on their own boat, moor it and see the city. The yacht club also has a cultural value - it is an architectural monument.

Similar river yacht-clubs exist in all the world capitals so representatives of «Red October», All-Russian Sailing Federation and Burevestnik Group are sure that Moscow should support the world traditions.

During the opening ceremony a concert program was held. Besides, the guests of the event were offered to see the exhibition «Splashes», all the exhibits of which were related to the invigorating water drops.
