The second stage of conversion of Sochi cargo port into yacht marina has started, according to the press service of Sochi resort area «Imeretinsky».
According to the designers' plan there will be 60 additional berths for vessels in the marina. Total length of berths will be 320 m.
The depth of the water area is 10 metres. A separate zone is allocated for the temporary mooring of boats and aquabikes.
Last year within the framework of the post-Olympic development program of the Imeretinsky resort area 42 berths for yachts were allocated in the port. As all the berths have been filled up to date, the regional authorities decided to expand the marina. The operational director of the resort area «Imeretinsky», Maxim Kondratenko, believes that by next season they will be able to receive more yachts.
» Owners of the boats accommodated in the «Imeretinsky marina will be able to receive: repair service for their boats, parking on the water and dry storage, access to land and launching into the water, meeting with an escort by a service boat, as well as washing, water supply and power supply. The port authority claims that the marina is equipped with safety equipment according to international standards.
There is a skipper's school on the territory of the marina.
