Spanish authorities detained a sailing boat loaded with 10 tons of cannabis. On board were three Dutch nationals, two men and a woman. The exact size of the boat was not specified, but the media stressed that the size of the boat did not allow it to carry such a heavy burden, the sailboat could sink at any moment. The boat was detained in international waters off the Spanish coast of Cabo de Gata.
Cannabis bags were found literally everywhere - on the floor, on beds in the cabins, and in the salon. However, this is not the largest amount of illegal cargo that has been stopped on the water. In 2013, for example, authorities seized 52 tons of cannabis from smugglers at a time.
