Engineer Erik Westerberg from the Swedish city of Skellefteå has built a submarine with his own hands. The creation was created a few years ago and has received a number of awards, and now the homemade submarine is sold at auction. Anyone can buy it. To do this, you only need to break the price, which at the moment is 350 thousand Swedish kronor (about 1.7 million rubles). The auction will last until September 11, 2014.
When asked why they have to sell «favourite», Erik Westerberg answers as follows: «It's time to move on and do other projects».
The boat, named «Isabel», weighs 8.7 tons and is 6.1 meters long. It is able to dive to a depth of 100 meters.
The boat is propelled by a 10 HP electric motor and a 1.6 liter engine (from Volkswagen Golf). The submarine is controlled by two joysticks and can accommodate 5 people on board.
