The 30.5m Galateia is the third boat in the Welluceto series. She is currently being tested in the British Hythe.

Galateia is a family cruiser fully equipped for multi-day cruising and reaches speeds comparable to modern maxis.

The owners have chosen to have Reichel Pugh Yacht Design build this boat, which worked on the Magic Carpet3. Magic Carpet3 performed well, winning the annual Wally Trophy in 2014 and winning the handicap at the 2015 Giraglia Rolex Cup.

The Galateia white-snow case has been designed with the Magic Carpet3 test drive data in mind. The architects placed emphasis on increasing the efficiency of the hydrofoil system, reducing air resistance and reducing the weight of the yacht.

The large cockpit in the middle area can accommodate 10 people. The master stateroom is located on the lower deck forward of Galateia. This is followed by two guest cabins, a salon, a lounge area with navigation station, a galley, an engine room and a crew double cabin. Aft is the garage for the tender.

Upon completion of sea trials the boat will sail for the winter season in the Caribbean Sea.
