The 2014 Snowflake Regatta, an amateur rowing competition in Riverhead, New York, did not go well. «And» is an understatement to say the least.
During the race, one of the boats crashed into wooden barriers, dropping one of the paddlers into the water, and the other nearly rammed a small motorboat. A little later, the two crews collided and were barely able to separate, while the third «drove off» into the thick grass. Another collision then occurred.
The video, shot during a rowing regatta, became a real hit on YouTube, gaining more than a hundred thousand views on the first day after being uploaded.
