The Vene Båt 2016 International Boat Show opened in the pavilions of the Helsinki Exhibition Centre (Messukeskus) on 12 February.
Most of the 300 exhibitors at this year's show are Finnish yacht and equipment manufacturers. Among them is Finnish brand «Silver». Silver's aluminium and fibreglass boats are manufactured under licence in St Petersburg.
The first weekend of the exhibition, on February 13 and 14, and the most mass days for visitors are devoted to hydrofoils. At a special section Purjehdussatama («Going to port») the sea voyagers will share their experiences with visitors to the exhibition.
In addition to ships and equipment, Vene Bat 2016 will feature water sports, an extensive workshop area and a giant aquarium with live fish. More than 73,000 people attended the Helsinki Boat Show in 2015.
