Johnny Depp, who married actress Amber Heard last week, made his wife an unusual gift. The actor renamed his 33-million-dollar yacht. The vessel, which previously bore the name Vajoliroja, is now called Amphitrite.
The boat's previous name was a combination of the first letters of the names of Vanessa Paradis, Depp's former lover, Johnny himself and their children together Lily Rose and Jack. The new name also carries the first letters of the name Amber, in addition, Amphitrite is the name of the daughter of the sea god Nereus and the wife of Poseidon in Greek mythology.
It is known that the famous actor bought his boat in 2007 and significantly customised it to make it a little more «vintage and epatage». According to some media, the yacht is available for charter; in 2013, a week on the yacht cost $130,000.
