The sixth and final stage of Sochi Winter Cup by PROyachting races of 2015-2016 season will be held in Imereti Port from 1 to 3 April. The final regatta will determine the winner of the Winter Regatta Series Cup, which started last November.
On the first weekend of each month, teams from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Sochi and other Russian cities gathered at the Imereti Port to race on GP 26 sports monotypes. Sixteen teams took part in the five stages.
First place goes to Alex Team (37 points), Philips 2 and «Imeretinsky» are on the second and third places with 30 points each.
Each event of the Sochi Winter Cup by PROyachting will include three days: one training day and two racing days, the results of which will be taken into account. The races are organised in such a way that amateur sailors with various levels of training can participate. Each regatta is accompanied by theoretical studies and tutorials by sailing professionals.
The Sochi Winter Cup competition consists of 6 rounds and runs from November until April. The winners and runners-up are determined at each individual stage, as well as by the total of the best 5 stages of the series.
