Yachtswoman Florence Artaud died in a plane crash

On Monday, March 9, two helicopters crashed in Argentina. There were 10 victims of the accident, including the French sailor Florence Arthaud, 57 years old, reports BBC.

The planes crashed during the shooting of reality show Dropped, which was attended by Camille Muffat, London Olympic swimming champion, and Alexis Vasten, Beijing bronze medalist in boxing, in addition to the famous racer. The stars were flown by helicopter to an inaccessible part of La Rioja province, where they had to demonstrate their survival skills in the wilderness.

At the moment, the causes of the crash are unknown. Special services are working at the site.

Florence Artaud won the Route du Rhum in 1990 and the Transpacifiisin 1997.
