Acceptance of entries for the Sailing Photo Awards has started on 10 May. You can upload your photos for the competition at sailingphotoawards.com.
Works from both professional yachting photographers and beginners are accepted. Each participant may publish up to 10 photos in each category: «Portrait of the season», «Emotion of the season», «Extreme of the season», «A look with humour», «Subject of the season», «Landscape of the season» or «Children in sail». The latter category is new to the award.
While previously the best photos were selected first by the audience and then by the jury, from now on the finalists in every category will be chosen by a group of experts, including the curator and creator of the award, the head of the ViMarketing! marketing agency, Katya Malysheva, professional photographers and the winners of previous years' Sailing Photo Awards.
The winners among finalists will be chosen by the jury. The viewers' voting is also left but transferred to a separate category «The Audience Favorite Prize».
Sailing Photo Awards is the first Russian award in the field of sailing photography. It was organized in 2014 by the head of ViMarketing! Katya Malysheva with the support of All-Russian Sailing Federation. The coverage of the project in 2015 approached 5 million people.
