Regatta participants in Mobile Bay were victims of a severe storm. The storm struck the region in the state of Alabama on Saturday, April 25.

According to the Coast Guard, winds sank 10 sailboats, more than 40 people were thrown into the water, two yachtsmen were killed.

Five people are still missing as rescuers continue to search for them. The search is carried out by boats, aircraft and two helicopters - they comb the area of more than 2.5 thousand miles.

We explain that the storm came into the bay at a time when there were more than 100 boats on the water, in total, about 200 people took part in the regatta.
