The first hull of the Sanlorenzo 460EXP Moka, presented to the general public at the Monaco exhibition in autumn 2015, has successfully completed its maiden voyage: a transatlantic crossing from Italy to the shores of America, where the yacht was met by its owner.

Usually, yachts of this size are loaded onto specially equipped ships that deliver them around the world. This approach is necessary because of their shorter range, unsuitability for ocean crossings, or simply for convenience. The Sanlorenzo 460EXP is declared a transatlantic vessel, and its successful crossing of the Atlantic in winter proves its compliance with the stated requirements.

The Sanlorenzo 460EXP Explorer is a 42.8-meter, 460-ton displacement yacht with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. With her forward-facing superstructure, she can accommodate a tender much longer than comparable-sized yachts can, and a whole battery of «water» and «land» toys. At anchor, the aft deck converts into an open-air sunbathing terrace, complemented by a large pool with an artificial current feature.

Designed for long-distance crossings, the 460EXP has plenty of autonomy.

The CAT C32 Acert 970 kW (1319 hp each) engines provide a range of 4,000 nautical miles at an economical speed of 11 knots.

The layout and interior of the yacht can be customized. As requested by the owner, Moka will have 5 cabins plus a gym on lower deck, a spacious owner's cabin on main deck and 2 saloons on main and upper deck respectively.

In addition to the first hull, 4 more 460EXP hulls have already been sold and are under construction.
