The 49.2m aluminium superyacht Ipanema in bright red is launched on June 16 in Savona.

Ipanema was designed by Italian studio Hot Lab. The red hull colour was selected by the owner.

This is a tri-deck semi-displacement vessel that boasts a spacious sundeck. Ipanema can accommodate 12 guests in five cabins.

Her interiors are designed in a classic style with columns, pilasters, carved lintels, friezes and bas-reliefs.

More than a dozen different types of marble, onyx, mahogany and briarwood are used in decoration.

Other key features of Ipanema include a multilevel beach club descending to the water and a tender garage at the transom.

The vessel is powered by a pair of MTU 16V2000 M84s with 2,185 hp, allowing for a cruising speed of 17 knots. At 12 knots, Ipanema shows her best range of 3500 miles without refuelling.

The yacht has left for sea trials, which should be completed by the end of July, after which she will be delivered to the owner.
