Canadian designer Ivan Erdevicki has unveiled the ER130 40m expedition yacht concept.

The Fast Displacement steel hulled vessel is capable of carrying up to 10 guests and 9 crew members. She has a modern exterior styling with a bow inverted at the bow bow angle and large glazed areas providing a visual link between the main deck and the upper deck. The ER130's superstructure is constructed in aluminium.

The length of the Explorer and its draft (1.89 metres) make it possible to moor in most harbours.

The master suite is located on the main deck and occupies the full width (8.3 meters) of the boat. The master suite includes, in addition to the bedroom, an office and separate bathrooms for the master and the hostess. All other guest cabins are located on the lower deck with a spiral staircase.

The aft open-plan salon features a dining area and lounge area with three sofas and a bar. There is also an al-freso dining area aft. Another such area, equipped with sun loungers, is located on the sun deck.

No details about the propulsion system of the concept boat were reported but we know that it will be capable of speeds of up to 15 knots.

The project involves alternative energy sources.

Ivan Erdewicki's studio ER Yacht Design is known for their work on the 47-metre motor yacht Aqua Sante by Georgetown Sy. Currently in development is the 46m Gotham for Icon Yachts. Gotham is due to be launched in 2019.
