A new 45.5-meter aluminum hull of a sailing yacht has been put up as a lot on eBay online auction.
»According to a brochure that describes the yacht, the hull is being sold at a significant discount due to some «very unusual circumstances that arose for the customer, an experienced yachtsman.
The hull is under construction at the Derecktor yard in Connecticut. It is fully welded and sealed. The keel is completed but not yet attached to the hull.
The latest generation aluminum alloy was used for construction, meeting Lloyd's standards.
The interiors for this 45.5-metre racing cruiser were created by renowned British superyacht designer John Munford. He used a porous honeycomb structure to reduce the weight of the interior in a classic cherry wood finish.
«This yacht is designed in the classic J-Class spirit, but with the capabilities of a fast, modern sloop»," stressed Munford.
