Dutch Feadship has launched the 69-metre yacht Samaya, which was conceived as a diving centre.

The history of the superyacht took less than three years from sketch to launch. The client contacted the company after the «Monaco YachtShow2014» to commission a large, high speed, sundecked yacht. Discussions with Feadship De Voogt took just three days to finalise the design details.

The owner of Samaya was closely involved throughout the build, personally attending monthly meetings. Thanks to this personal commitment, the owner got a yacht that fulfilled his requirements from the hull colour to the cabin appointments.

The yacht is oriented towards the diving enthusiasts. The stern has a room with the best equipment for diving, including a nitrox system.

A small pool with hot water is located on the main deck to speed up recovery after a deep dive. For the same purpose, the entire yacht is heated to 30°C instead of the usual 25°C.

The exotic interior design includes many original features and has been developed in collaboration with the RWD studio. The yacht can accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 cabins, including one VIP cabin and the Master cabin. For relaxation the yacht provides a spacious sundeck with dining and relaxation areas.

The main deck garage holds Samaya's 8.8m and 7.2m tenders in her colours. To make their launching as convenient as possible, a large port door opens on the starboard side.

The yacht's high degree of autonomy will allow its owner to undertake long voyages away from shore and civilization.
