The Monaco Yacht Show Superyacht Awards ceremony took place on September 26th during the opening gala of the legendary show. The jury, consisting of yacht journalists from all over the world, selected the three best yachts of the year in four categories: best superyacht, best exterior design, best interior design and most environmentally friendly superyacht by RINA standards.

Oceanco's Jubilee took prizes in two categories: «best exterior design» and «best superyacht».

The 110m yacht has an architecturally challenging styling with tiered decks that doesn't prevent her from being thoughtfully designed for maximum comfort on board.

The exterior for the largest Dutch boat is designed by Igor Lobanov, a domestic designer also known for his work on the 85.6m Oceanco Y708 «St Princess Olga». This boat in 2013 won the prize for «Best yacht design over 50 meters», and Igor himself was awarded for her design «Designer of the year».

The award for sustainability from Italian service provider RINA went to the Home hybrid megayacht from Heesen Yachts.

The 49-meter yacht burns 98 liters of fuel per hour at 12 knots and only 57 liters at 10 knots. Thanks to the Van Oossanen hybrid propulsion system, the yacht can remain fuel free while cruising at 9 knots.

«The» nomination for best interior design was won by SanLorenzo's 52m Seven Sins.

The interior of the largest superyacht in the world today was designed by Mauro Micheli and his studio Officina Italiana Design. Apparently the jury members got tired of the fanciful and pompous décor and chose the elegant and severe design of Seven Sins.

The interiors of the yacht use a combination of white, beige and brown colors to create a cosy and fresh atmosphere. The crowning achievement of the Italian designers is the 12-tonne transparent-bottom pool, which looms over the beach club.

In the meantime, the exhibition has just begun. As they say: «Show must go on! » .
