The new Riva 90: «it will be perfect everywhere»

The Ferretti Group plans to expand the flybridge range of the legendary brand Riva a new 27.43m Riva 90. The company is still keeping most of the details of the boat under wraps, but promises to launch the first hull next year.

Like her larger predecessors - the Riva 110 Dolcevita - the company will also be launching the first hull next year. Riva 100 Corsaro and Riva 110 Dolcevita - was designed by Ferretti's designers in collaboration with Officina Italiana Design. She will have a sleek and dynamic profile in the style of the other boats in the series.

This 90-footer boasts a large sun deck, generous hull glazing, and a full-beam master suite on the main deck.

The boat will be propelled by two MTU engines, but the customer can choose between three propulsion options: MTU 12v 2000 M96L 1921 hp, MTU 16v 2000 M84 2186 hp or MTU 16v 2000 M93 2400 hp. Depending on the version of the engine, the yacht will have a cruising speed of 22 to 26 knots.

Moreover, the shipbuilder offers several solutions for arranging the interior space. Upon request of the future owner, engineers can place up to 5 guest cabins on the lower deck.

For maximum comfort on board, the Ferretti Group plans to equip all Riva 90 hulls with fin stabilizers and optional Seakeeper gyroscopes.

SergioBeretta, CEO of Officina Italiana Design, says: «The yacht is not designed for any particular sea - it will be perfect anywhere. However, we believe that Riva 90 will be particularly popular in the East, because of its modern, audacious style».

Work on Riva 50M, which will have transatlantic range, is currently underway at the Riva production facilities. She is due to be launched in 2019.
