A new marina King Point Marina went live in Plymouth on September 28 in the port area of Millbay. The city council expects it to help revitalise local infrastructure. The marina was the first and central point in a project to bring the area back to life. The city's business plan also includes building new homes in the area, opening shops and cafes. For the UK, Kings Point is the first marina to open in five years.

King Point Marina is designed to accommodate 171 boats ranging in size from 24ft to 82ft. Costing £4 million to build, the marina has an open day this coming weekend, October 5-6, when you can have a look around, talk to managers and take advantage of a special offer to get three months of free parking and score yourself a berth for £330m.
