The Dutch yard Jongert has decided to break the tradition of putting the prefix mega- and super- on large yachts. Jongert custom-built the 18m Tommy and presented her as a pocket-sized superyacht.
Of course, it's a bit short. Not Abramovich's Eclipse, but with great soul and megayacht charm both outside and inside.
Jongert's designers have been pencil shaving, trying to incorporate the atmosphere of «super» into an 18-metre yacht. Judging by the first pictures, it turned out stylishly.
And if you can squeeze palatial interiors into an 18m boat, Tommy has something that can make owners of Top 100 yachts very nervous about mooring in almost any marina in the world - an 80cm draught!
Powered by two MAN engines, the yacht can reach speeds of up to 30 knots.
For now, Tommy is one of a kind, but Jongert hasn't ruled out starting «serial» affair.
