The largest pavilion exhibition for yachts is evolving: a new hall will open at the Messe Düsseldorf trade fair centre by 2020. In this hall - number one - medium-sized motor yachts from 30 to 60 feet in length with stationary engines will be assembled.

It will feature new models from major production builders such as Jeanneau, Beneteau, Sealine and Greenline. Bavaria Yachtbau will also be showing the first new models produced since CMP Capital bought the shipyard.

Dutch steel yachts from traditional makers such as Linssen are also moving into the new hall.

The show will be more visitor-friendly, says Jürgen Tracht of Germany's yacht association BVWW.

All powerboats will be displayed in Halls One through Six.

The third hall will be dedicated to powerboats with outboard engines. «Individually outboard engines and sports boats will be displayed in the fourth hall which hasn't been specialized for a long time».

Hall five will be dedicated to luxury yachts and tenders from brands like Sacs, Wally, Blue Game, DeAntonio, Fjord, Frauscher and Windy.

The sixth hall will be dedicated to superyachts.

Three halls 15, 16 and 17 will be entirely devoted to the sailing sector. Hanse, Bavaria, Hallberg-Rassy, Oyster and Nautor's Swan have already confirmed their participation in the 2020 exhibition.

The diving part of the exhibition will be expanded in 2020.

The changes came at a high cost to the exhibition organizers.

According to its director,Werner Dornscheidt , the investment in the development of Boot Dusseldorf amounted to €140 million.
