From 12 to 15 April in the French city of Marseille was held European Cup stage in class «Laser». Russia's Maxim Nikolayev, a member of the Russian youth team, won the competition.
Other members of the Russian team performed as follows: Artem Grishnakov took the final 12th place in the «Laser-Standard class» and 6th place in the U21 category; Vladimir and Kirill Evfimievskytook 8th and 11th places in the «Laser-Radial class» and 5th and 7th places in the U19 category; Natalia Ganzhenko took 7th place among girls under 19.
Overall, in the regatta more than 300 athletes took part: 45 racers in class «Laser Standard»; 184 participants and participants in class «Laser Radial» and 119 boys and girls in class «Laser 4.7». This stage of the European Cup is considered to be one of the most difficult.
