The Russian sailing ship «Sedov» will be the main venue for the cultural programme planned for the cancelled G8 summit. The event will take place in the port of Sevastopol.

Pianist Denis Matsuev will perform on the deck of the ship, and the ship itself «will turn» into a projection screen.

Instead of the sail on the ship will be installed LED panel, which will show images from the projectors placed on the shore. It is expected that the light and pyrotechnic show will be held in the spirit of projects by Jean-Michel Jarre.

Moreover, the deck of the vessel can become the venue for the exhibits that have never been exhibited in the Crimea before, for instance, the exposition of the Tula Arms Museum.

At the moment the sailboat is in the South of France, it will be able to arrive in Sevastopol on May 29. The show is to take place on the next day, on the evening of May 30.

Next month another famous Russian sailing ship is going to visit the city. «Krusenstern» invited to take part in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Sevastopol liberation on 8-10th May.
