The British team, which has decided to take part in America's Cup, has received permission to set up a training base in the city of Portsmouth, Sir Ben Ainsliehas announced.

The new headquarters for the team, led by the four-time Olympic champion, will not only help the crew gain experience, but will also create new jobs for local residents. The new training facility will significantly improve the city's infrastructure, which will also make the employment situation in the city more favourable: up to 600 people will be able to find temporary or permanent employment.

At the same time the team is still looking for funding and has not made the final decision on the place for the training camp.

As a reminder, the British will try to bring a major yachting award to the Islands. Ben Ainslie, who has already won the America's Cup «» with Oracle Team (USA), announced this in Greenwich last week.
