Monaco celebrated the inauguration of the new Yacht Club de Monaco, a yacht club with more than 60 years of history, on Friday 20 June. Prince Albert and his wife Charlène and other dignitaries attended the ceremony.
More than 3,000 guests attended the event. Among them were Eddie Jordan, owner of the new flagship from Sunseeker; Peter Lürssen, CEO of Lürssen Yachts; Lamberto Tacoli, President and CEO of CRN; Nick Edmiston, Chairman of Edmiston; and designer Espen Oeino.
The new building has been designed by Sir Norman Foster in a high-tech style but complements the existing architectural ensemble in a harmonious way.
The opening ceremony was accompanied by the Giraglia Rolex Cup winning ceremony and the world premiere of the 122ft Riva Mythos.
