The World Junior Sailing Championships were held in Portugal from 12 to 19 July. Russia's Stefania Elfutina won «gold» in windsurfing RS:X class, beating China's Shi Hongmei and Italy's Martha Madgetti.
Evgeny Aivazyan was the best among other representatives of Russia. The windsurfer finished on the fourth position, one step away from «bronze».

We shall remind you that the Championship was held for the 44th time, it was attended by yachtsmen from 67 countries, and the racing format was as close to the Olympic programme as possible.
