Firefighters in Australia have freed a young man whose finger was stuck in the steering wheel.
According to the website MotorBoats, the incident occurred during a boat trip north of Sydney. The skipper was unable to free himself, but took the helm off the boat and sought help at a nearby hospital in the town of Bendigo. The medical staff, however, were unable to help him and called for help from the fire brigade, who rescued him.
According to a spokesman for the fire department, the crew did their job with precision: «They were extra careful not to cut their finger...» and added that at the end of the procedure the boy was vividly interested in what exactly the firefighters were doing and even gave them some ideas.
