Michael Saylor, founder and CEO of MicroStrategy, a business software vendor, announced that he is starting a new business, a charter company called Fleet Miami.

«I have started a company that will manage yachts for their owners and will be able to rent out boats under its own brand. Think of it as a NetJets service for yachts, only much more exclusive and a little less ambitious», the entrepreneur says, comparing it to a firm that lets you rent jets (business jets).

Nine boats are currently available on Fleet Miami's website. They include the 154-foot Usher and 147-foot Harle (both owned by Seilor), as well as the 87-foot Moksha and 36-foot Julia. Any of them are already available to cruise on. The company is offering its users to purchase a seven-day cruise in Florida waters. The maximum cost of the trip is $280,000.

Membership costs from $250,000 to $1 million, depending on the level of service. For this money users will be able to rent any vessel in advance and not pay for the cost of the charter, if the weather goes bad or something went wrong.

Those who want to offer their own yacht will also have to pay a one-time fee (which is not specified on the website), but after the payment and conclusion of the contract, the owner will take a percentage of the charter of their property and will also get free maintenance of the yacht and its parking, which significantly reduces the cost of ownership. At the same time the owner of the boat will be able to use it whenever he/she wishes.
