A paddleboard - a primitive watercraft that is a board with an oar - is quite difficult to modify, but the creators of the PeleBoard have succeeded.
Their project is «a dual» paddleboard, the parts of which are connected in such a way that they slide on each other and allow a person to move the craft by making stepping movements.
Project creator Blake Knutson, who built the prototype boards, plans to begin production of the product next year. To find funding, PeleBoard «will go viral» on Kickstarter - the campaign will launch in the spring. The approximate cost of the watercraft is not yet known.
