Yachting resource LiveSailDie reported that their reader helped find the stolen boat and catch the wanted criminals.

Felix Fielding, a young man from New Zealand, had spotted a boat that looked suspiciously similar to the stolen 45-foot Harclech sailing yacht 10 days earlier and first reported it to LSD's Darren McManaway, who was overseeing the coverage. A member of the media and yachting community looked at the images sent in and realized that, yes, the vessel had finally been found. Immediately thereafter, the editorial staff of the publication reported to the police.

When the police arrived at the boat in Brocken Bay, they found not only the disappeared boat, but also the kidnappers. As it turned out, the yacht had been stolen by a pair of criminals who had been on the wanted list for several months.

The sailboat was stolen about 10 days ago near New Zealand. Her kidnappers, accused of fraud, Paul James Bennett and Simone Anne Wright, were on the run.
