Fact: The Fort-Lauderdale Boat Show has more impact on the local economy than the Super Bowl of the Football League.Judging by the names of some of the FLIBS exhibits - "My Trust Fund," "Bearer Check," "Another Toy," - the purchase of a yacht has not sharpened the spirits of their owners.And the yachting industry itself seems to have finally recovered from the recession of previous years and is experiencing a boom for the first time. And the boat show in Fort Lauderdale clearly illustrated it.
