The renowned automobile concern BMW has a boating past behind it. More than half a century ago, the German company built such boats. Pictured here is a 1950 Berlin III BMW, one of the few restored and probably the oldest to be purchased today. This rarity boat is put up for auction by the house of Bonhams . The auction is scheduled for October 11 and the starting price of the lot is $350,000. The boat is designed for one person who loves driving and speed. In general, 1950 Berlin III BMW meets the modern slogan "Designed for driving pleasure".
The main theme of the Bonhams auction will be European machinery. Along with the BMW boat, the cool cars up for auction are a1954Ferrari212/250and a 1957 Maserati A6G/54.
