Thirty minutes after organisers decided to postpone the America's Cup semi-final race due to too much wind, Oracle Team USA skipper Jimmy Spithill took to the water on a paddleboard for an impromptu practice session. Jimmy has long been a fan of this type of surfing. Exactly one month ago, he even took part in the Devil's Isle Challenge, a SUP race with the longest route offshore. "In sailing, we work in a team of 85 people to do our job. Every day, every outing on the water is a challenging action. Paddleboarding, on the other hand, is an individual sport. Simplicity is cool. You just grab a board and paddle, that's it!"
The wind's not getting in Jimmy's way.
