The skill of a photographer is largely to see the extraordinary in the familiar. The photographs by Italian photographer Silvano Pupella are proof of that. Looking at the world through his eyes the viewer suddenly notices the striking resemblance between the unfinished metal hull of one of the Sanlorenzo yachts and a great white shark.
These images are just a small part of a series of 30 black and white photographs which can be seen in San Giorgio Castle in Liguria at «Navigators until 10 March. A journey through the Sanlorenzo shipyard».
«The models» for the photographer are yachts and workers at the shipyard in the Italian town of La Spezia.
