Royal Huisman Ebb Tide Overview

The customer, German businessman Michael Keller, wanted a boat that would resemble his beloved Swan 65, but even faster, easier to operate and with a very powerful generating station that would produce very little noise. His primary requirement was that she could be driven alone, without any professional crew (which is why this boat, and not the Wally, should be considered the first "maxi single-handedly") even though there is still a three-man crew on board most of the time. Despite the extremely well-developed engine room with a particularly powerful generator, the yacht has a displacement that is noticeably less than similar sized boats. This is in no small part due to the fact that her furniture and bulkheads are made of sandwich - thin teak slats glued on a base of nomex honeycomb.
