Wauquiez Opium 39 Overview
The Wauquiez Opium 39 is the smallest model of the shipyard, designed as a high-speed cruiser suitable for family cruises as well as IRC or ORC handicap racing. The boat is of exceptional quality, using expensive vinylester resins and multiaxial glass fabrics. All this increases the durability of the boat, but also increases its price. The yacht can be produced in three versions of interior and has one of two keel variants - fixed or lifting. Experts note the very good ergonomics of the boat and the designers' attention to small details. Speed capabilities of the yacht are amazing - in the wind speed of 10-11 knots the boat goes quietly into a full base-wind with the speed of more than 9 knots.
The only noticeable disadvantage of the boat can be considered a narrow berth in the bow cabin, however, it is inevitable with the modern tendency to make the sharpest nose.
