Discovery 50 Overview

Exterior and Interior Design

This model grew out of the historic Discovery 50 catamaran built by the future founders of Discovery Yachts for themselves. This model has undergone several upgrades. The design and engineering of the current Bluewater 50 catamaran was created by the Architectural Bureau.Bill Dixon.

Amenities on board

The huge salon includes a galley, a dining room and a spacious skipper's seat from where you can observe almost all around. There was no need to save space to arrange the cooking area, so you can place all imaginable kitchen equipment here like at home. In the standard version the whole right hull is given for the owner's apartment, the right one belongs to the guests, where there are two cabins with their own bathrooms. The cockpit and forward part of the catamaran abounds in places for rest, relaxation or sunbathing.

Features .

Sailing arms Bluewater 50 includes two front sails, one of which is a stacker-auto. The mainsail is curled into the mast. The sails are controlled by electric drives and electric winches. The control post is located in the protected part of the cockpit and on the hill so that it is easier to control maneuvers.

Sailing region

The Bluewater 50 is certified as Class A - World Ocean. Due to the very low precipitation of only 1.3 meters, this catamaran is indispensable in areas where there are many underwater reefs or approaches to the shore are shallow.
