World Superyacht Awards 2015 winners announced

Last week, on May 9, the award winners were announced in the Netherlands during a gala event World Superyacht Awards.

The 73m Grace E, built by Perini Navi, was voted best motor superyacht of 2015 by the jury.

The best sailboat was the 33m WinWin by Baltic Yachts , launched about a year ago.

Other winners in the categories are Kismet by Lürssen Yachts (nomination «Motor yacht with displacement from 1,300GT to 2,999GT and over 75m length»), Grace E (winner also in the category «Motor yacht with displacement from 1,300GT to 2,999GT and less than 75 meters in length), MySky by Heesen Yachts (nomination «Motor Yacht with 500GT to 1299GT»), Onika by Delta Marine (nomination «Motor Yacht with less than 500GT and 33 to 43.99 meters in length ) and Elena (nomination . « Motor Yacht with 500GT or less and length over 44 metres).

Semi-displacement boats were not left without prizes. «In the category '38m plus two decks'» Como(later renamed Lady May) came out on top, «30m to 38m plus two decks» went to Admiral Shipyard, «30m to 40m plus three decks» to Tansu Yachts and in the category «40m plus three decks» to Polaris by Rossi Navi.

The sailing yachts were also divided into categories to determine the winner in each category. In the category «Best Sailing Yacht over 45m» was aluminium Wisp by Royal Huisman. The «Best 30 to 44.99m» category was topped by the already mentioned WinWin (it won twice).

The jury also picked the best of the best in the Retrofitted & Refurbished category. Amore Mio 2 (formerly Sea Jewel), Alumercia and remanufactured Ancallia were chosen.

In the Quality & Value category, Farfalla , a 31.7-metre sailboat created by the South African yard in 2014 and designed by Farr Yacht Design, was selected.
