This week, May 13, 2015, a monument was erected in Australia to commemorate Fedor Konyukhov's transoceanic crossing by boat «Turgoyak». The bronze plaque on a concrete pedestal appeared on the coast of the town of Mululaba. The mayor of the town, the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Australia, the local residents and, of course, the traveler himself attended the opening ceremony of the memorial sign.

Recall, about a year ago, on May 31, 2014, Fyodor Konyukhov arrived to the shores of Australia on a rowboat. The country became the final point of a 159-day non-stop solo voyage across the Pacific Ocean.
