A 46-foot wooden sailboat owned by the wife of Google CEO Eric Schmidt caught fire and sank.

The vessel suffered damage last Friday off the coast of Rhode Island, the Coast Guard reports. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

Ms. Schmidt was not aboard the wreck; two boat crew members were able to transfer to another boat and escape. Thus no one was injured as a result of the accident.

The sailing yacht named Equus was the winner of the Opera House Cup Classic Yacht Regatta in 2011.
