The US Independence Day celebration ended in tragedy: three boats collided in the Miami marina. As a result of the collision 4 people died and about 12 people were injured (one of the injured is now in critical condition).
The two boats reportedly collided as they were returning to the city. Then one of them spun and crashed into a third one, which was parked at the marina. The accident was reported by the owner of a moored 36-foot yacht: his boat was damaged.
The tragedy occurred just after the celebratory fireworks. The owner of the boat stated the tragedy happened right after the fireworks and the people probably were watching the spectacle and when it was over they hurried back to the marina, having failed to appreciate the situation. The circumstances of the accident are being investigated, police are working at the crash site.
