The Russian sailing ship «Sedov» failed to call at the Swedish port of Trelleborg yesterday. According to «RIA Novosti», the reason was «the lack of a timely formal request from the Russian side».
Because of the situation the ship was sent to the Polish port of Gdynia.
The citizens of Trelleborg, where initially was supposed to stay «Sedov», expressed their disappointment that it was impossible to visit the famous ship.
«Sedov» is a four-match bark listed in the «Guinness Book of World Records» as the largest training sailing vessel in the world. The bark has been on the voyage for four months now, during which time it has visited more than 10 countries.
