The next round of Extreme Sailing Serieswas completed. The winner of the competition, held from 11 to 14 September in Istanbul, was Team New Zealand.
Emirates Team New Zealand beat The Wave, Muscat and Alinghi (second and third places respectively). The Russian team Gazprom Team Russia finished on 11th position.
At the end of six rounds Alinghi is still leading in the overall standings, The Wave, Muscat are in second place, third place went to New Zealanders («Kiwi» moved RealTeam by Realstone to fourth place). Gazprom Team Russia drops to 8th position in the overall standings.
The next round of the series will be held in Nice from October 2 to 5. The season finishes in Australia (December 11-14).
It should be reminded that this year one of the stages of the regatta was held on the territory of Russia - in St. Petersburg.
