Suzuki has revealed a new outboard engine that can be started without the use of keys. The DF200AP features a smart key fob that transmits an access code to the system when the skipper is one metre away from the boat's control panel. The owner then needs to turn on the ignition system and start the engines at the touch of a button.
The manufacturer is confident that the new technology will help reduce the number of thefts.
The smart engine will go on sale in early 2015. The cost of the product is not specified yet.
