The Hobie Eclipse, a water toy that can literally walk on water, will begin selling in the US this spring.

The Hobie Eclipse is a composite construction board using epoxy resin with a pedal motor system and aluminum alloy handlebar. Standing on the board, you can glide across the water, making a stepping motion like riding a bicycle. The pedals are powered by two «fins» at the bottom of the board. In shallow water or on the shore «the fins» fold up, resting against the surface of the board.

The rudder height is adjustable from 91 to 109 cm. To turn, you need to squeeze the lever on the left or right side of the rudder. The lever will transmit the force to the caliper which sets the direction of the wing.
Sales of the device in the U.S. will begin this spring. The 3.2-meter version will cost $2,500, while the more stable 3.7-meter version will cost $100 more. Phone holder and cupholder are available as options.
