Last Sunday in Moscow decided which business sector is most successful in yachting. The Skolkovo Sailing Trophy 2016 regatta was held at the Royal Yacht Club as part of the 3rd Annual Alumni Convention of the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo, timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the business school.
Crews of the boats were staffed according to industry: logisticians, bankers, retailers, investors, financiers, advertisers, IT specialists and media businessmen competed for the Skolkovo trophy. Ten crews on modern yachts of international class Beneteau Platu 25 were entered. Each team included 6 competitors and an experienced skipper.
Teams overcame two loops around the marks alternately upwind and downwind.
The silver went to the boat of Skolkovo Startup Academy and the bronze went to the boat of AV Mediasystem Group.
More than 300 guests - founding partners, management, students and graduates, friends and partners of the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo - came to cheer on the yachtsmen teams and to watch the best race of the outgoing spring.
In addition to the competition, guests were treated to master classes, a Cadillac Escalade test drive and a mini regatta on 70 cm long radio-controlled boats.
