A new yacht club was opened in Anapa. The yacht club is located near the Anapa River and will be the base for the Russian national team's preparations for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in 2016.
It is planned to accommodate up to a hundred yachts in the yacht club, and hold sailing competitions every year. Besides, according to the city mayor Sergey Sergeyev, a sport school will be opened on the basis of the institution, young yachtsmen from sailing schools of other cities will be able to come to the club for trainings.
The object was being constructed for about two years. Now the yacht club meets the European standards. Already in September the children championship of Russia will be held on its territory with participation of about 500 young yachtsmen.
