Yesterday, September 2, the organizing committee of the Russian prize «Yachtsman of the Year» has begun accepting applications which will last till November 1. In order to become a nominee for the award, it is necessary to fill in the application form on the website.
«The» elephant giveaway will take place on December 2, this time the winners will be honored at the Moscow State Musical Theatre of Folklore «Russian Song». In recent years the reception was held at «Izvestia Hall».
Last year there were 12. So, there are still «Yachtsman of the Year», «Yachtswoman of the Year», «Team of the Year», «Golden Lens», «Best Competition Organizer», «Coach of the Year» and nomination «For contribution to the development of sailing». Gone from the list «Judge of the Year» and «Golden Pen», «Sailing Support», «Contribution to Sailing», and appeared only last year nomination «For dedication to sailing».
However, the organisers like to improvise, so the number of nominations may increase during the award ceremony.
